A VERY SPECIAL GIFT^

Capita spesso che alcuni amici mi portino rami, rametti, foglie di piante, noccioli di frutta, perchè pensano che possano essere per me interessanti, infatti lo sono sempre!
Ma non mi dilungherò su quanto per me questi pensieri siamo preziosi e di quanto mi imbarazzino anche un pò a volte!
Tutto questo sembra più o meno regolare quando si tratta di amici vicini, acquista un senso magico quando qualcuno decide di selezionare con cura i viaggiatori, preparare un pacchetto e spedirlo.
Oggi in una giornata immersa nel ghiaccio sono arrivati questi bellissimi frutti rosa, delle pigne minuscole e due sezioni di un legno vellutato.
A chi ancora crede che attraverso la rete non si possano trasmettere emozioni vere e costruire relazioni arricchenti dedico queste foto.
Grazie Marta, non vedo l'ora di dare a questi frutti una seconda e inaspettata vita^spero di fare del mio meglio"":)

Often happens that some friends take me branches, twigs, leaves, plants, fruit pits, because they think it might be interesting for me. Indeed they are!

Non so se è mai capitato anche a voi ma in città ho avuto spesso la sensazione che gli alberi urlassero per rivendicare il proprio spazio, la propria dignità, per smettere di essere solo dei limitatori di parcheggio ai bordi delle strade e ridiventare, come un tempo, catalizzatori e rigeneratori di energie.

Il lavoro di type_b, forse rientra e scavalca questa mia sensazione, ce ne parla Marc Ter Horst, fondatore di type_b.

I do not know if it happened to you but in the city I often had the feeling that trees scream to claim their own space, their dignity. I think they want to stop being the only limiting parking and become, as before, catalysts and energy regeneration.

While studying the quality of soil below the asphalt, holes are made in the asphalt in order to take samples. As far as I am concerned an excellent opportunity to give these spaces back to nature; urban gardening!

ABRACADABRA...I MYXOMYCETI

I “Myxomycetes” (deriva dal greco “myxa” =muco,mucillagine e “myketes” =funghi), sono comunemente conosciuti come funghi mucillaginosi.
Nel mondo sono classificati con la parola inglese Slime molds, che tradotta letteralmente sarebbe “muffa mucillaginosa”... non sembrerebbero un gran che affascinanti dall'introduzione ma in realtà sono una vera e propria magia!
Cosa sono i Myxo?Animali, piante funghi?...
Piante no, essendo organismi eterotrofi e mancando di pigmenti fotosintetici.
Per lungo tempo sono stati considerati funghi, ma ora sono definiti parte di un regno a se stante.

Ho incontrato Marta Miguel Martínez-Soria qualche tempo fa in rete, con lei ho sperimentato quanto attraverso la condivisione della ricerca reciproca ci si possa sentire vicini, quanto la comunicazione possa correre usando il progetto come veicolo.
Marta è designer e illustratrice, la sua ricerca mette in primo piano il corpo (fisico-emotivo), la materia, la trasformazione, la meditazione.
Il suo lavoro è il concretizzarsi del corpo che si racconta, facendo materia delle proprie sensazioni, delle paure e dei respiri, il progetto diventa la cura.
La ricerca di Marta Miguel Martínez-Soria è un tendere le mani verso un respiro morbido e confortante, una corsa spensierata in cui l'arrivo non ha importanza, l'importante è il tragitto, ogni passo, ogni emozione, ogni raggio di sole.
Marta è un'artista "di pancia"che usa il proprio corpo come strumento per raccontare il vissuto interiore, lo porta in questo modo fuori di sè per condividerlo, capirlo e quindi saperlo affrontare.

L'encausto è un'antica tecnica pittorica che risale al al IV° secolo, AC.
Pigmenti colorati e vegetali a base di resina si fondono con la cera d'api, che deve essere riscaldata fino alla fusione per poter essere lavorata. Alicia lavora su pannelli in legno usando fiamma ossidrica insieme a strumenti di intaglio, punte da trapano e un coltello pallet di manipolare la cera.
La superficie viene poi lucidata per assomigliare alla ceramica.

Encaustic is the ancient method of painting with bee’s wax that dates back to the 4th century, BC. Colored pigments and plant-based resin are blended with the wax, which must be heated to a molten state before it can be worked. Alicia works on wood panels and uses a blowtorch along with carving tools, drill bits and a pallet knife to manipulate the wax and create her distinctive images. The surface is then polished to resemble a fired ceramic glaze.

Combinando abilità di falegname e amore per la natura, Patrick Dougherty ha cominciato a imparare le tecniche primitive di costruire e di sperimentare l'albero come materiale di costruzione.

A partire dal 1980 circa, ha iniziato con piccole opere a definire il suo stile, le da poi trasformate in monumentali istallazioni. Fino ad oggi ha costruito oltre duecento sculture in tutto il mondo.
La sua base di partenza è la sua casa artigianale a Chapel Hill, Carolina del Nord dove vive con sua moglie Linda e il figlio Sam.

Combining his carpentry skills with his love of nature, Patrick Dougherty began to learn about primitive techniques of building and to experiment with tree saplings as construction material. Beginning about 1980 with small works, fashioned in his backyard, he quickly moved from single pieces on conventional pedestals to monumental site-specific installations that require sticks by the truckload. To date he has built over two hundred such massive sculptures all over the world.
His home base is his handmade house of log in Chapel Hill, NC where he lives with his wife Linda and son Sam.

In Italia le sculture di Rabarama a Palazzo Pitti hanno suscitato un bel po di polemiche.
Io e il mio ragazzo eravamo curiosi da capire il perchè, così siamo andate a trovarle.
Il problema è che le polemiche le capiamo ancora meno! Secondo noi sono splendide.

Vicino a casa spesso ci sono dei paradisi di cui non si è mai misteriosamente sentito parlare...è successo anche questa volta.
Vorremo ringraziare tutti quelli che hanno permesso la creazione e la fondazione di questa piccola Oasi e che ora la curano come se fosse un gioiello.
Accanto alle gru, che hanno avuto i pulcini pochi giorni fa, ci sono aironi, pellicani, anatre, martin pescatore, fenicotteri, volpi... liberi, che scelgono liberamente questo bosco ...
Qui i rapaci feriti vengono curati e reintrodotti in natura.
All'interno di grandi voliere, dove molto spesso possiamo entrare, si incontrano creature come gli ibis, pappagalli, falchi, lepri nane...ma non servono molte parole per parlarvi di chi abbiamo conosciuto oggi, i loro ritratti sono sicuramente meglio!

Se siete in zona non potete non andate a conoscere queste creature che qui sembrano non avere paura dell'essere umano.

Lei dice che, durante un evento a cui ha preso parte, Lee Nielsen fondatrice del gruppo Nielsen parla delle grandi sfide che ha dovuto superare per costruirsi la carriera.
Vorrei proporre la teoria di Lee anche qui:

Uno degli argomenti di maggior interesse trattato durante la conferenza è stata la teoria su come superare i pensieri “spazzatura”.
E' importante saperli riconoscere.
I pensieri spazzatura sono l'immondizia puzzolente mentale che ingombra la nostra mente.
Sono le scuse che ci inventiamo per giustificare il perché non stiamo facendo quello che amiamo veramente. Probabilmente avete già familiarità con alcune di queste idee spazzaturapuzzolenti come ad esempio:

- Non ho abbastanza tempo, non ho abbastanza ore per fare quello che mi piace

- Non ho abbastanza soldi per fare quello che mi piace

- Non sono ancora abbastanza bravo per fare quello che mi piace

- Non conosco nessuno che mi può aiutare a fare quello che mi piace

bla, bla, bla, lamentarsi, lamentarsi, lamentarsi ....

C'è sempre qualcosa al di fuori dalla nostra portata per cui non si può mai avere abbastanza tempo, abbastanza soldi, abbastanza competenze, o abbastanza connessioni.
Come si può superare questo crash? Lee consiglia di collaborare con qualcuno di fiducia e di cui abbiamo stima che ci farà da testimone e accompagnatore in questo esperimento. Entrambi annoterete insieme le tre ragioni principali per cui non stai facendo realmente quello che ami fare.
Quando avrai la tua lista, spiegherai il perché questi motivi non sono veri, il perchè cioè sono una copertura, una scusa.
Forse per risolvere il problema potreste delegare le vostre responsabilità a qualcuno? Forse bisogna imparare a dire di no qualche volta? Forse aveste bisogno di lasciarvi andare e smetterla con il bisogno di voler controllare o sorvegliare tutto? .... ecc
Michelle aggiunge poi che, se non è assolutamente possibile scaricare alcuni dei tuoi rifiuti mentali nel cestino, potresti trovare un modo per utilizzare queste limitazioni a tuo vantaggio.

Questo, per quella che è la mia esperienza, è un punto molto importante.
Se c'è davvero qualcosa che vogliamo migliorare,perchè non fare dei nostri limiti il nostro punto di forza? Potremo renderli parte di un percorso autentico.
Liberarsi dagli stereotipi o dalle teorie "da manuale" è vivere la propria vita pensando che sia solo nostra e che solo noi possiamo renderne dorato o puzzolente ogni granellino!:)

"Every month I attend several networking events and last week's Women in Networking (WIN) Cleveland event was one of the best local events I've attended in a while. The monthly WIN Cleveland events are always worth the time and effort and I walk away with great new connections and tools for building all aspects of my career.

Entrepreneur, Lee Nielsen, Founder of The Nielsen Group, spoke about how she build her career and the challenges she had to overcome along the way. Her talk was incredibly inspiring. One of my biggest take-aways of her presentation was on how to overcome Head Trash.

Head Trash is the stinky mental garbage that clutters our minds. It's the junky excuses we use as explanations for why we're not doing what we truly want. You're probably already familiar with some of the most common Head Trash lines out there, such as;

I don't have enough time; not enough hours in the day
I don't have enough money
I'm not good enough yet
I don't know anyone who can help me

blah, blah, blah, whine, whine, whine....

Well, guess what, there's always something that will be just out of reach and one can never have too much time, too much money, too many skills, or too many connections.

Lee's success in overcoming Head Trash comes from identifying and debunking it. She recommends partnering with someone you trust and who is good at holding you accountable and vice versa. Then, both of you write down the 3 top reasons you are telling yourselves about why you're not doing what you truly want.

After you have your lists, spend the rest of time explaining why the Head Trash items you wrote down aren't really true and how you can go about dumping them. Is there a way you could re-prioritize or delegate some of your responsibilities? Perhaps you have to learn how to say no and stop over committing yourself. Maybe you need to let go of a need to control or oversee everything....etc.

I would go a step further and add that if it is absolutely not possible to dump some of your Head Trash, then find ways where you can use those limitations to your advantage.

I know from personal experience that overcoming limitations and dumping Head Trash can require certain things falling into place that are beyond our control. However, by applying all of my creative energies into flipping those limitations into opportunities, I've been able to significantly increase my skills and accomplish equally satisfying things."

Oggi finalmente siamo scappati dal cemento per andare a respirare un po di aria dei boschi e di montagna...c'era ancora un po di neve!
Anche in questo paesaggio grandioso i particolari sono una calamita per me. la maggior parte delle volte non serve guardare lontano, abbiamo tutto molto più vicino di quanto crediamo, basta solo saperlo vedere.

A Cuba abbiamo incontrato una piccola pianta che ci dimostra di sentire le nostre carezze...forse l'abbiamo disturbata mentre prendeva il sole ma è così bella che non abbiamo resistito! purtroppo dal video non si vede benissimo, il sole sul visore della telecamera non faceva bene capire che cosa si stesse riprendendo in realtà:)
Comunque non ho mai visto un vegetale muoversi così velocemente! fantastica:)))

In Cuba, we met a small plant that shows us to hear our caresses ... maybe we disturbed while taking the sun but it is so beautiful that we could not resist!
Unfortunately the video does not play well, the sun on the display of the camera was not good to understand what we was filming actually:)
However I've never seen a plant move so fast!......fantastic:))))))))

Quando cucino, gran parte degli ingredienti vanno in sperimentazioni.
credo che molte volte avere meno opportunità di altri sia uno stimolo per immaginare cose nuove.
l'immaginazione non ha confini.

I love fruits and vegetables, but if you open the fridge the first think is "how can I deal with these materials to take them in my jewelry ?"... I stopped asking if it is normal or not!
When I cook, most of the ingredients became experiments.
I think that often have fewer opportunities is a stimulus for imagining new things.

Passo spesso davanti a questo cespuglio velocemente, mentre magari sto pensando ad altro.
mi ricorda ogni volta la sua presenza e ci salutiamo, così ho deciso di fare un esperimento.
mi sono lasciata guidare dall'immagine del cespuglio che avevo impressa nella mente, non dalla sua immagine reale.
così è nata questa spilla. solo dopo ho fatto la foto al cespuglio. è stato divertente!
è interessante notare come nel ricordo risaltino alla mente dei particolari che osservando la realtà oggettivamente ( dopo la foto) passano in secondo piano e come le sensazioni percepite ( calore, morbidezza...) entrino a fare parte dell'immagine oggettiva che percepiamo. in questo modo oggettivo e percepito diventano una sola cosa.
è forse anche per questo motivo che ciascuno di noi percepisce la realtà con sfumature differenti legate alle sensazioni che queste cose provocano dentro di noi.

I let myself be guided by the image of bush that I had impressed upon the mind, not the actual image. so I made this pin. Only after I made the photo to the bush. it's fun!
Is interesting to see the memory brings out the details but noting the fact (after the photo) these are negligible.
it is fascinating to observe the sensations (warmth, softness ...) become part of the object image that I perceive. In this way objective and perceived become one.Perhaps for this reason that each of us perceives reality with different nuances related to the feelings that these things cause in us.

la chiesa di san Maurizio a Monza ospita da tanti anni un mercato i cui ricavati vanno in beneficenza alle missioni nel mondo.

in realtà è piuttosto grande (ho fotografato solo la stanza del tessuti) diviso in stanzettine come questa... aperto tutte le domeniche pomeriggio (tranne la terza del mese) e i martedì pomeriggio.

Borse, scatole, tessuti, vestiti, bigiotteria, giocattoli, bottoni, lampadari, quadri, pentole, soprammobili...........

è un posto fantastico dove si scoprono tesori pieni di fascino dove ci si perde nell'immaginare e quando si esce è come essere ripiombati nel mondo reale.

Bags, boxes, fabrics, clothes, jewelry, toys, buttons, lamps, paintings, pots, ornaments ...........
It's a fantastic place where you find treasures full of charm where you can get lost in imagining and when you leave it is like being plunged back into the real world.

ho trovato questo libretto di Munari...è piccolo piccolo, ma è ricco di poesia perchè
racconta di come il mare sia il più straordinario artigiano di tutti i tempi.

Parla delle sue sculture incredibili composte dei materiali più svariati
che provengono dal mondo degli umani.
Parla, solo come Munari sa fare, di come questi materiali si incontrano, si trasformano magicamente
e misteriosamente per venire poi messe a disposizione di chiunque solo quando il mare lo decide.

racconta come la gente sia abituata a raccogliere sassi e conchiglie sulla spiaggia e di come queste produzioni passino quasi totalmente inosservate venendo colte solo da alcuni occhi.

sono sicura che piace anche a voi.

I found this book of Munari... is tiny, but it is rich of poetry because it tells how

the sea is the most outstanding craftsman of all time.
He speaks about his incredible sculptures made of various materials that come from the human world.
These materials meet, they magically and mysteriously turn, and then are made available to anyone only when the sea decides.
He speaks about people who are used to collect rocks and shells on the beach and how these productions remain almost totally unnoticed and are picked only a few eyes .

its austerity is still tangible, its former glory have become in a story to tell.

now it interacts closely with the surrounding park, the only one who really knows.
is full of magnetism that is hard to explain, the atmosphere was suspended, disturbing and attractive...
